Geoff Gates is Vice President, Social Media at Allison Worldwide, where he leads social strategy and content for clients across the agency's global network. He brings more than 12 years of experience building and running social media programs for organizations across sports, entertainment, and agency settings.

Geoff's approach to social is rooted in a few core beliefs: The brands who win on social aren't the ones playing catch-up, they're the ones who saw the shift coming and moved with purpose. That audiences connect with stories built around genuine interests, not polished messaging. And that great social comes from the combination of sound strategy and creative that's born for the platform, not adapted to it.

Most recently, Geoff led the social and content practice at Boathouse, a Boston-based agency, where he built the function from the ground up. He developed multi-platform strategies for clients across healthcare, finance, technology, and consumer goods, and established social as a meaningful part of the agency's revenue and creative output.

Before that, he served as Director of Social Media and Content for the Los Angeles Lakers, managing a global audience of more than 70 million followers. Prior to the Lakers, he held roles at Top Rank Boxing, Deloitte Digital, and VaynerMedia, working across sports, entertainment, and Fortune 100 brands.

Geoff lives in Southern California with his wife, their daughter, and their two cats, Gigi and Dalya.
